Today we will discuss the pillars and the merits of a Proverbs 31 woman. As she is the epitome of femininity and a role model we should follow, I will explore the pillars on which we should learn how to be just like her.
Are you ready to build your foundations? Let’s get started!
Fear of the Lord
“A woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised”
Proverbs 31, 30
Here our role model knows that everything she has comes from the Lord. She depends on Him, she trusts Him and she obeys His commandments. She is an authentic God’s princess and all her actions reflect that.
She is a woman of faith and a prayer warrior. She is a true gift for humanity because of her faith in God.
She reads the Bible everyday.
She recognizes God as the Source of everything and is always grateful towards Him.
She has no evil thoughts.
This pillar is the consequence of the previous one.
The Bible teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge (Proverbs 1,7). As you can see, the Proverbs 31 woman is not a little stupid thing!
Her fear of the Lord grants her wisdom, since she must ask for it in her prayers.
She is a thoughtful woman and weighs her words and actions. She is not unconsiderate and her husband, as well as her family and friends, trust her judgment.
She can have a broad knowledge about several things and can pursue many interests in her life.
Because of her wisdom, she manages to have an exciting and purposeful life.
She crushes the idea about being wise only when you get older.
If you are lazy, being a Proverbs 31 woman is definitely not for you!
She is a disciplined and focused woman.
Our feminine woman has several roles:
- business woman
- charity patron…
Our role model is balanced and manages to embody all her feminine attributes, despite all the roles she has to cope with (this is a great lesson for modern women, by the way…).
A Proverbs 31 woman is truly a queen! Remember, this portrait is done by a queen mother who teaches her son what kind of woman is fit to be a queen.
Therefore, let’s claim our God-designed femininity and let’s adopt high standards for our lives!
A Proverbs 31 woman is:
- worthy of praise
Doesn’t it remind you of our modern princesses and Queens?
You could write a book about how to be a princess only on the basis of Proverbs 31!
I strongly believe that we should behave like Queens and teach our daughters and sisters how to be this kind of woman!
