Perfection is not a requirement

perfection

My dear fellow Proverbs 31 women in progress,

Have you ever been so impressed by someone that you thought you were not even at this level?Well, this was the case for me when I first encountered the Proverbs 31 woman in progress.

For those who follow me and have read my page About, you know that at first, I thought that she was only a list of virtues that I was unable to fulfill.

However, the Holy Spirit helped me to understand that having a list of qualities didn’t matter that much. It was about fearing God and give Glory to Him!

That’s why I am saying in this post that perfection is not a requirement to please God. Remember, Rahab was a prostitute but she put her faith in God and was rewarded for that.

Besides, nobody is perfect, as Paul recalls: “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins”. Romans 3: 23-24.

Anyway, if you are the kind of person who is looking to be perfect, you are totally wrong. As I said earlier, nobody is perfect, except Jesus. Looking for a perfection which is not of this world will let you unsatisfied and frustrated.

However, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t strive for excellence and have high standards for your life. In this case, the Proverbs 31 woman represents a great role model.

Therefore, my sisters, when you start walking in the path of the Proverbs 31 woman, just come to God as you are. I don’t know where you are standing now with your life, but I know that walking in the Spirit will let you whole and satisfied.

Of course, you must be aware that it’s long-term race. You will fall sometimes. People won’t always support you. But in the end of the day, Jesus will always be there for you!

Don’t be too harsh on yourself. Did you burn that dish? Did you badly iron those clothes? It happens to everyone! Just laugh and let it go. You’ll be better next time.

Let the Lord teach you and help you to improve your life, your personality, everything!

And you, have you ever felt the pressure to be perfect? Please share your point of view!

Stay blessed!

    Super Elodie,

    Bises,
