Keep The Faith Through Pain

My dear fellow Proverbs 31 women in progress,

Faith is a strange thing.

It makes you hope for things you don’t see in advance because you believe that the Lord will take care of you.

It may seem foolish to the ordinary man who doesn’t believe in God. But for those who believe, faith is everything.

And faith manifests in different ways. It can come by hearing, as we all know.

But it can also come or be strengthened through trials and pain. And that’s what we are going to examine today.

And the story of Joseph appeared totally appropriate for the topic today.

The story of Joseph

Joseph, son of Jacob represents a type of Christ through his entire life. He suffered a lot but he ended reaping the benefits of his unwavering faith in God.

Let’s examine the main events that occured in his life, shall we?

He lost his mother at a young age.

He suffered from the hatred of his half-brothers who were jealous of him because he was their father’s golden son. They sold him as a slave to Ismaelites, who brought him to Egypt.

When he arrived to Egypt, he was falsely accused of attempting to rape his master’s wife and was put to jail.

There, he was forgotten by people he helped…until his day finally came.

After explaining the meaning of Pharaoh’s dream, he immediately came from prisoner to Prime Minister…in a wink!

Isn’t that encouraging for all of us?

Persevere in faith

Personally, Joseph’s story is soothing for my soul. I’ve met a lot of personal difficulties these last two years which really affected me spiritually and mentally.

I’ve been laid off twice and everything I do seems to be delayed for a reason or another.

But when I look up to Joseph’s story, I definitely say that nothing is impossible to God and that all I have to do is persevering in my faith.

And I’ll continue to put my hope in Him because He is the Master of my circumstances.

Even if I don’t have the complete picture yet of why all these difficulties happen to me, I know that there is a greater purpose and lessons I have to learn.

If you are currently going through difficult times, look up to Joseph and never, I say never give up on God.

And He will not give up on you.

I’ll let you with this powerful promise:

And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.

Deuteronomy 31:8

In conclusion, continue to put your faith in the Lord despite your difficult circumstances.

I know it’s easier said than done, but if we faithfully follow Him on a daily basis, we’ll never regret it!

Well, that’s it for today? Have you found it difficult to keep the faith through your difficult circumstances?

The Rolling Stones shared the insight that “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometime you find, you get what you need” in their hit song many years ago. It’s good to remember when we feel frustrated about delays in the plans we have for ourselves. Hold on to your personal dreams and goals, but trust that everything is happening as it should.

I would like to say that I find it very refreshing to see someone other than a minister or pastor write an article about our father in heaven. I really enjoyed this srticle today. I look forward to more articles of this type from you. Keep up the glorious work that you are doing. And I believe that we all should believe in God and keep him close to our hearts. Have a blessed day.

One should never give up. Faith will always be at your side, if you let it be there to guide you. That includes not only faith in Good and Christ, but also faith in yourself. When you keep the faith in yourself, you’ll know that something better is always around the corner if you keep moving forward.

          Amen to that!

Faith is an extremely important thing in life. Sometimes things happen to us that are difficult to explain and that we did not deserve and we do not understand why they happen to us, but it is faith that pushes us forward and helps us to persevere despite bad circumstances. Have faith, my dear ones and daughter-in-law, for everything that comes your way in life and everything will be fine one day.

Wow, I am moved by the style of your writing that has brought an old Bible story to life in such a creative and interesting way.  It brings back memories of me playing “Jospeh”, in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat when I was a teenager which was hosted by my local Church. As the world goes through some challenging times, the story you have highlighted here and the lessons for today, are just as relevant as they were then. “C*ntinue to put your faith in the Lord despite your difficult circumstances.” Absolutely.
