My dear fellow Proverbs 31 women in progress,
I hope you had a good week. As for me, I had a painful week where I slept everyday between 12 pm and 2 am to finish some work. But now I hope that with God’s help, this kind of hard week is behind me!
Well, today, this post will be quite short (which is unusual) and is dedicated to single ladies. I will talk about the behaviour we should have while we’re expecting to be blessed with the man God has in store for us. But before that, let’s examine Ruth’s case.
Case study: Ruth
Ruth and Boaz
In the Book of Ruth, it is said that Ruth befriended her mother-in-law Naomi so much that she decided to move with her to Canaan. Afterwards, when they arrived, she decided to support herself and her mother-in-law and she found a job: gleaning in Boaz’s fields, who happened to be one of Naomi’s kins. Also, as she worked for him, he noticed her virtue and her hard work. They finally got married and the rest is history.

Let’s follow Ruth’s example
You see, Ruth is a huge example for all the single ladies out there. She wasn’t even looking for a man – she just wanted to support herself and she got a fabulous husband in the end.
Like Ruth, don’t sit around and get pampered everyday, thinking that you wait for a man to give you everything.
You must have your own projects, your own goals, your own life to live. Study, go out with your girlfriends, travel if you can, exercise, travel, take this new class or start a new business… Well, don’t keep yourself from pursuing your dreams because you wait for a man.
I have seen many women only pursuing men who would do everything for them and losing a lot of opportunities – just to be with men who didn’t even bother to marry them in the end. And they married women with substance because they felt that they could share many things with them, rather than having a woman who expects everything from them.
So, the moral of the story today is the following:
Be your own person. Get a life!
Well, that’s all for today! What do you think of my insight? Please leave your comments below!
