Find Your Inner Happiness

My dear fellow Proverbs 31 women in progress,

Last week, I published a post on the difference between happiness and pleasure.

As we all agree that happiness is desirable, even if it can be painful to raise it sometimes.

That’s why I’ve decided to write this post as a sequel to the previous one.

If you asked how to find inner happiness after reading my previous post, this new post will help you to make it.

Here are ways to find inner happiness in your life.

Rule #1: Connect to God

Because of what the world tells us, many of us expect to look for a husband to be happy. But it’s wrong.

The only true happiness can only be found when you have a deep connection with God and with your deep nature.

When you have a deep connection to the Lord, you will find peace within yourself and with others.

Rule #2: Seek wisdom

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; for her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, and her gain than fine gold.

Proverbs 3: 13-14

Through his servant Solomon, the Lord instructs us to look for wisdom more than anything else, because it will be the source of our happiness.

We don’t have to chase for a husband, or for money, or even for anything legal or illegal that will supposedly make us happy.

But wisdom can indeed make us happy. How?

First and foremost, we must fear the Lord and accept to be instructed by the Holy Spirit.

We must also put into practice His laws and commandments in our lives, so that people can tell that we belong to Him and that we are intelligent people.

And we must also apply eternal laws applicable to our feminine nature. And speaking of our feminine nature…

Rule #3: Connect to your femininity

Connecting to our femininity can bring us inner happiness. Here are some ideas to connect to your femininity:

  • striving to be a capable homemaker
  • developing our creativity through our hobbies: sewing, decorating, writing, cooking, gardening…
  • develop compassion for others and give service through volunteering service in charities, in churches, etc

Rule #4: Work on your character

As Proverbs 31 women in progress, we must work to have a noble character.

Working on our character will allow to overcome sin, to attract what we want in life and give us what we want in life.

Never forget that you attract who you are, not what you want.

Rule #5: Accept your imperfections

Let’s face it: nobody’s perfect. We all make mistakes. We all make stupid decisions.

But we can also learn from our failures. Take your mistakes and your failures as opportunities to grow and improve.

Think of failures as experiences.

Rule #6: Appreciate life as it comes

Learn to take life as it comes and be grateful.

Appreciate the simple pleasures of life, such as drinking a cup of hot tea, or smelling flowers, or anything that makes you happy.

Also, life is too short to worry or to be bitter because of the bad things that happened in your life.

Relax and take life as it comes, with your triumphs and your failures. And your happiness will radiate from within.

In a few words, we can find inner happiness through our deep connection to God and our femininity, seeking wisdom, working on our character, accepting ourselves, and taking life as it comes.

Well, that’s all for today! Do you have other tips to find inner happiness in your life? Please share them in the comments section below!

Hello Angelce, thanks for such a wonderful and inspirational article. Sometimes tea really don’t understand what true happiness means and truly it’s not the happiness for material things, it’s the one that comes from within. Seeing these this I really appreciate them and accepting ones flaws is really one thing we find difficult. Deal with it and be happy
