And what about the Proverbs 31 Man?

proverbs 31 man

My dear fellow Proverbs 31 Women in Progress,

As we all know, the chapter 31 of the Book of Proverbs was written for a king. His mother was giving him practical advice on how a king should behave and on the wife he should have.

So I asked myself: how is the man for which the Proverbs 31 woman is the perfect helpmeet?

Considering the virtues listed for the Proverbs 31 woman, I tried to establish a king of composite drawing of her husband. I do believe that the portrait of the Proverbs 31 woman mirrors what a man of God should be; so that she’s the perfect helpmeet!

Here is the Proverbs 31 man:

=> He is a God-fearing man

=> He is an influent and successful man

=> He actively contributes to the happiness and well-being of the community

=> He is happy to assume his responsibilities

=> He is generous and compassionate

=> He is a spokesperson for less favored people

=> He is a respected leader among his people/his brothers/his community

=> He is a man of character

=> He is a hard-working man

=> He is a prestigious and renowned man

=> He is a virtuous man

=> He is crowned with honor, but his ultimate crown is… his wife!

My dear sisters, we should never forget that we are the ones who’ll make or break our men. So, let’s embrace the Proverbs 31 woman’s virtues, so that our husbands, sons or brothers will look like Proverbs 31 men!

What do you think of my portrait of the Proverbs 31 man? Please share your point of view!

Stay blessed!

    Hi Elodie,

    This religious content article might need condition (in my opinion), for a woman who’ve been marriage to make themselves more dedicated into God (by try to accept 100% their husband) rather than blame over the problem issue, make a stupid decision like getting divorced or even worst, kill each others..

    For single still, this proverb can make’em PICKY…

    If wanted to be respectable among woman and a good guy they need to REFLECTED each proverb they ever wanted (i.e if she want God-Feared man, do it first! if she want an influent and successful, then do it first! etc)

    Believing without rasional thinking might be risky and lead us into bad experience, while now a day more people who lack moral and rarely meet people who’ve show true nature since 1st approach.

    Still, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER when we’re trying to apply that.

    Cheers!

      I think that is a good list. I especially like the “he is happy to assume his responsibilities” one. I think that is very important…Well, they all are but that one stood out to me. If he is miserable at work or late or doesn’t show up, that does not glorify God. It kind of shadows some other points you’ve made as well. Great list!
