5 Lessons I Learnt During Quarantine

My dear fellow Proverbs 31 women in progress,

I hope you’re fine. I know I’ve been absent for a long time, but I had some issues going on. However, I am back for more content and you’ll see me more often, by God’s grace.

Today will be a special post because I’ll talk about the lessons I personnaly learnt during the quarantine that occured with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Everybody is panicking because of this pandemic and it’s normal. People lose their jobs (I lost mine once again, yay!). People are financially and emotionally distressed.

However, as women who rely on the Most High God, we must know better. We must know that we shouldn’t panic and put everything on the Lord, because His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

So, with that in mind, let me tell you what are the precious life lessons I learnt during this quarantine time.

Lesson #1: The Lord is in control

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 5:34

Following the quarantine, I lost my newly-found job again. However, I knew that God was in control and instead of being angry, I remained quiet. I know that my time will come and that there is a season for everything.

I must also say that this quarantine showed me that I should walk by faith and not by sight. I rely on the Lord for everything and I keep praying, meditating, asking, and working on my personal projects, day after day.

Lesson #2: Don’t try to outsmart the government

I believe that many people – me included – don’t enjoy wearing a mask. And I can understand that because I literally suffocated at the beginning and I felt that wearing a mask was a breach on my freedom.

However, as Christians, we should remember that we should obey the authorities, unless their orders are against God’s laws and commandments.

Wearing a mask might be tedious, but at least I haven’t caught the COVID-19 right now. And I intend to remain healthy.

Lesson #3: Investing in myself to thrive

The quarantine was an opportunity for me to start a new training, to rekindle my business projects, and to strengthen my spiritual practices.

Indeed, I was able to pray and meditate on the Bible more. I also fasted and will start a 10-day Daniel’s fast tomorrow. And Psalm 91 is my new daily chant.

I realized that I shouldn’t sit down and sleep because the world was panicking. I have a plan to thrive, be self-sufficient and gain more knowledge everyday.

Lesson #4: Be wise with my money

Now more than ever, I have to be wise with my money because I have limited resources. That’s why I carefully choose how I invest and how I should use my money.

Lately, I started to buy gold and silver and I don’t want to leave much money in the bank because I believe that all that financial system will collapse.

If you can, I strongly encourage you to buy some gold and silver coins, and to buy enough food supply to feed you during a month if you can. Times of hardship are coming to us and only those who were smart will survive.

Lesson #5: Rejoice, always!

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Philippians 4:4

I always try to remember to always stay happy in the Lord because He always takes care of me and He rewards those who seek Him earnestly. So I rejoice and try to be in a happy mood all the time!

That’s it for today! What are the lessons you learnt during the quarantine? Share your experience in the comments below!

And as always, stay blessed!

You offer some thought provoking topics in your daily blog here, which are uplifiting and encouraging.

Isn’t it interesting that when you learn of a possible threat to the economy, that you ponder it and wonder is it true, then there will be a confirmation one after the other of the very same thing wringing true.  I heard of and have also started thinking along the lines of investing in coins that have genuine silver and gold worth in them.  Hard to find, but definitely worth it to find them.

Thank you for sharing your nuggets of wisdom with us and may you continue from strength to strength!

It is always a blessing for me to learn from another woman like myself and like everything you have shared here, we are all still in progress of getting better. I have learnt a couple of things myself during this quarantine. I have just learnt more from you too and ont thing I’d like to stress is that people should really try to adhere to government laws.
